WHAT ARE CRITICS SAYING?

“Of all the many indie rappers in Baltimore, PT Burnem is the one that sounds like he could kick your ass. Deep, a tad worn, and boulder-heavy…”

-Michael Byrn of The City Paper (Baltimore)

“…his stuff is pretty approachable and easy to understand, talking about some normal real life shit…”

-Al Shipley @ Government Names

“This shit made my bus ride!”

-Brad Walker AKA Curtainrod Character

Hip-hop producer Edan returns with Echo Party, his first album in four years, on November 23 via Five Day Weekend. The album features Edan slicing up the Traffic Entertainment Group’s back catalog while adding plenty of original instrumentation. (via Pitchfork)

So..sumer of  1996.

I finished my Junior year of high school..and went into the summer frustrated. Not many friends. A girl that seemed interested in me, but more interested in head games. I wound up going to the beach with my mom, little brother and grandparents. We rented a small house and hit the boardwalk one day. Licensed to Ill was one of the 1st albums I ever owned, but never got Pauls Boutique.

I’m not going to say everything changed from that point. I went home and contacted some kids I wanted to be friends with from school..started going to punk shows..and the rest is history.

I’ve read Dan LeRoy’s 33 1/3 book..hell, I’ve even seen him speak about it. But this seems like one of those things where most things are up to the interpreter.
